Rolls with ham, cheese and apple

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 head of red onion, cut into thin half rings
  • 1/3 cup low-fat natural yogurt
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill or parsley
  • 2 tablespoons honey mustard
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1.5 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 120 g lean cooked ham, cut into strips
  • 90 g Swiss cheese, cut into strips
  • 1 head of cabbage romaine lettuce, tear into small pieces
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 4 wheat flatbreads (thin pita or tortilla) (recipe corn tortillas, recipe wheat tortillas)
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, halved

Preparation:

  1. Place the red onion in a bowl, cover with cold ice water, and let sit for 10 minutes. Drain and squeeze slightly with your hands.
  2. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, dill, honey mustard, and salt and pepper to taste. Add olive oil and 1 tablespoon of water and mix until smooth. Add the onion, ham, cheese, lettuce, and apple and mix well. Spread the mixture on the tortillas and roll each one into a log. Cut the logs in half and serve with strawberries.
