Ranch-flavored cheese sticks in the air fryer topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp. breadcrumbs
- 0.5 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 package (30 g) dry mix for ranch dressing
- 2 large eggs
- 1 package (340 g) of mozzarella sticks
- Cooking spray to spray
- Chopped fresh parsley and marinara sauce, for filing
- Special equipment: air grill with a capacity of 3.5 liters.
Preparation:
- Place the breadcrumbs in a large skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until golden brown, about 4 minutes.
- Place the breadcrumbs in a medium bowl and toss with black pepper and half of the ranch dressing mixture (reserve the remaining mixture for another use). Crack the eggs into another medium bowl and beat until smooth. Cut each cheese stick in half crosswise.
- Dip the cheese stick in the eggs until completely coated, letting any excess drip off. Roll the cheese stick in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly until it adheres and completely coats the cheese. Dip the cheese stick in the eggs again, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture again. Transfer to a baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining cheese sticks, eggs, and breadcrumbs.
Storage Tips Freeze mozzarella sticks until completely frozen, at least 2 hours, and store in a freezer bag for up to 4 months.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray each mozzarella stick with cooking spray. Place the sticks in the air fryer, making sure they are not touching. Cook, turning once, until the tips of the sticks begin to ooze cheese, about 3-4 minutes total. Carefully transfer them to a serving platter and sprinkle with parsley. Serve with marinara sauce.
