Meringue cake with cookies, cream cheese, and strawberries (Mostachonn)

Ingredients:

    Cake

  • Protein of 4 eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 450 gr. traditional cookies, crushed

    Curd cream

  • 250 g of cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 700 g chopped fresh strawberries

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (170°C). Spray a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray.
  2. CakeUsing a mixer on high speed, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Slowly add the sugar, then the vanilla, baking powder, and salt. Beat for 2 minutes. Turn off the mixer and fold in the nuts and crushed crumbs. Press the mixture into the prepared pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes.
  3. Curd creamUsing a mixer, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form and the mixture is smooth.

    Assembling the cakeRemove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 15 minutes. Remove the pan. Using an offset spatula, spread the cream over the cake. Garnish with strawberries and serve.
