Bloody Mary Pick-Me-Up (Pick Me Up) topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 450 ml of chilled vodka
- 4 cups tomato juice
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 2 lemons) plus lemon wedges for garnish
- 3 tablespoons of horseradish
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp chili sauce
- 1.5 tsp celery salt
- 1 tbsp. l. chili seasoning (see recipe spice mixes with chili pepper)
- Celery stalks, pickled peppers, jalapeño stuffed olives, and pickled okra for garnish.
Preparation:
- In a large pitcher, combine the tomato juice, lemon juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, chili sauce, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon pepper, stirring with a long spoon. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or store for up to 2 days.
- Combine celery salt and chili powder on a plate. Wet the rims of 8 glasses with lemon wedges, dip the rims in the celery salt and chili powder, and fill the glasses with ice.
- Add vodka to the tomato mixture and stir well. Pour into prepared glasses. Garnish with celery, peppers, olives, okra, and lemon wedges.
