Sweet and Spicy Chicken Kebabs topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 4 tablespoons of honey
- 3 tbsp and 1 3/4 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. l. brown sugar
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 finely chopped jalapeño pepper (optional)
- 6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 2.5cm thick cubes.
- 2 medium onions, cut into 5cm pieces.
- 2 large red bell peppers, cut into 5cm pieces.
- 1 zip-lock bag with a capacity of 4 liters.
- 4-5 wooden skewers
- 1 can (600 g) grilled beans
Preparation:
- In a large bowl, combine the butter, honey, and soy sauce. Add the brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and jalapeño and stir to combine.
- Place the chicken in a 4-quart bag, pour the marinade over it, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight if you're pressed for time). Drain the marinade.
- Preheat grill (or oven) to high heat or 220°C.
- Thread the chicken pieces, onion and bell pepper onto skewers one by one.
- Lightly oil the grill grate and place the skewers on the grate. Cook for 12-15 minutes, turning several times, until the chicken runs clear.
