Ingredients:
- 450 g of ground beef
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 cup simple breadcrumbs
- Sliced green olives with pimento pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 0.5 cup apricot jelly
- 1 cup chili sauce
Preparation:
- Using a fork or clean hands, gently mix the ground meat, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Form into 2.5 cm balls. Press a green olive ring into each ball to create pupils.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet and brown the meatballs on all sides. Drain the fat.
- In a bowl, combine the jelly and chili sauce and pour over the meatballs. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes over medium-low heat, turning the meatballs regularly.
