Sweet and spicy nuts

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups mixed unsalted nuts (e.g. almonds, walnuts, cashews, peanuts)
  • 55 g unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp. l. brown sugar

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Spread the nuts on a large baking sheet. Bake until lightly toasted, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the remaining ingredients and stir. Transfer the nuts to a serving bowl. Pour in the butter and stir to coat evenly. Serve warm or at room temperature.
