Ingredients:
- 2 cups vanilla gelato or ice cream
- 8 hazelnut chocolates, such as Baci, coarsely chopped
- 12 slices bread with dried fruits and nuts
- 0.5 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread
Preparation:
- Place the ice cream in a bowl and let it soften slightly. Stir in the chopped candies with a silicone spatula. Cover and freeze for 40 minutes until the ice cream hardens.
- Preheat a grill pan over medium heat. Grill the bread until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Spread chocolate-hazelnut spread on each slice.
- Spoon 1/3 cup ice cream between 6 sandwiches. Top with the remaining sandwich slices. Serve immediately or freeze for up to 5 hours before serving.
