Green beans with pine nuts topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1 head of red onion, cut into half rings
- 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 500 g of green beans
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- 3 tablespoons toasted pine nuts
Preparation:
- Sauté the onion in a covered skillet with 1 tablespoon olive oil for 5 minutes. Add another 1 tablespoon olive oil and the beans; cook for 5 minutes. Add 1/4 cup water, salt and pepper to taste, and continue cooking until the beans are tender, another 7 minutes. Stir in 3 tablespoons toasted pine nuts.
