Ingredients:
Main course
- 2 tbsp (30 g) butter
- A 12cm wide slice of country ham.
- Honey, for greasing
- 3 thick slices of pork sausage
- 3 thick slices of bacon
- 2 large eggs
Crispy potatoes for breakfast
- 1 kg red potatoes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 tbsp (60 g) butter, melted
Preparation:
- In a large nonstick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon (15 g) butter over medium-high heat. Lightly brush the ham with honey, then sear until firm, about 1 1/2 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet.
- Next, fry the sausage and bacon together. The sausage is ready when it's nicely browned, about 3 minutes per side; the bacon is ready when it's crispy, about 7-10 minutes per side. Remove from the pan. Drain off any excess fat, but don't wipe the pan clean.
- Add a second tablespoon of butter to the pan and melt. Crack the eggs into the pan and fry for 2 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper. Flip the eggs over and fry for another 45 seconds.
- Serve eggs, sausage, bacon and ham on a plate with crispy potatoes for breakfast.
Crispy potatoes for breakfast: Bring a medium saucepan of salted water to a boil. Add the potatoes and cook until tender (but not falling apart), about 15 minutes. Drain and let the potatoes dry completely, then slice into wedges.
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and fry until golden brown and crispy, 10-15 minutes.
