Honey Glazed Bacon

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp bourbon
  • 12 slices double-smoked bacon
  • Ground black pepper

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Combine honey and bourbon in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Place the bacon on the prepared baking sheet and fry for 10 minutes. Brush the bacon with the sweet mixture. Continue frying until deeply caramelized and crispy, another 10-15 minutes. The bacon will be truly crispy once it cools. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon of pepper and serve.
