Festive hot chocolate made with chocolate and milk

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups whole milk
  • 2 tbsp. cream 10%
  • 110 g dark chocolate 72% cocoa in the form of a mini-bar for melting
  • 110g milk chocolate 37.5% cocoa in mini melting bars
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp instant coffee (powder)
  • 4-5 cinnamon sticks, for garnish

Preparation:

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk and cream and heat over medium heat until just before boiling.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat and add both chocolates. Once the chocolate has melted, add the sugar, vanilla extract, and coffee and stir vigorously. Reheat gently and serve immediately. Garnish each serving with a cinnamon stick.
