Ingredients:
- 3 cups of mixed nuts
- 6 chopped dried arbol chili peppers
- 1/4 tsp orange zest
Preparation:
- Grind 0.5 teaspoon each of cumin and coriander seeds in a spice grinder.
- Beat 2 egg whites to soft peaks; add spices, 2 teaspoons coarse salt, 6 chopped dried arbol chiles, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/4 teaspoon orange zest, 3 cups mixed nuts, and 3 tablespoons diced butter. Place on a baking sheet.
- Bake at 160°C (325°F), stirring occasionally, for 45-50 minutes. Let cool. Crumble the chili for extra heat and serve.
