Ingredients:
- 2 tsp. gochujang paste
- 4 slices white bread (such as Wonder Bread)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 slices American cheese
Preparation:
- Spread the hot paste on one side of two slices of bread.
- In a large nonstick skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. If the butter begins to darken immediately, reduce the heat slightly. Swirl the pan to coat the bottom with butter. Place 2 slices of bread, buttered side up, in the skillet.
- Move them around the pan to absorb the melted butter. Place 2 slices of cheese on each slice and top with the remaining 2 slices of bread.
- Fry on one side until golden brown on the bottom, then carefully flip, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan, and let it flow under the sandwiches. Fry until golden brown on the other side.
