Crostini for the appetizer board topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 1 small baguette
- 2 tbsp softened salted butter
- 1/4 cup cherry jam
- 150 gr. grated fontina cheese
- 60 g thinly sliced spicy salami
- 1/4 tbsp. mini gherkins
Preparation:
- Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to grill mode.
- Slice the baguette diagonally into 16 slices. Spread a thin layer of butter and jam on each slice, then arrange the crostini on a baking sheet. Sprinkle each with a generous pinch of fontina and bake in the oven for about 5 minutes.
- Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven and transfer the crostini to a board or platter.
- Fold the salami into triangles and place one piece on each crostini. Garnish with a mini gherkin and serve.
