Ingredients:
- 450 g bacon strips
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 0.5 tsp ground ancho pepper
- 1/4 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 160°C and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Pat the bacon dry with paper towels. Mix brown sugar, ancho powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper together and pour onto a large plate. Dredge the bacon in the mixture, coating it evenly on all sides, then place it on the prepared baking sheets. Sprinkle with the remaining spice mixture.
- Bake until the bacon is golden brown and glazed, turning once, 20-25 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool.
