Ingredients:
- 1 cube of sugar
- 75 ml rye whiskey
- 3 drops Peychaud's bitters
- 2 drops of Angostura
- A dash of absinthe
- 1 lemon peel
Preparation:
- Chill one Old Fashioned glass and use the other for mixing (this cocktail is not shaken). Place a sugar cube in the glass. Add a couple of drops of water and stir until the sugar forms a paste. Pour in the whiskey and both bitters. Add ice cubes and stir.
- Pour a small amount of absinthe into a chilled glass and swirl it around inside; discard any excess. Strain the cocktail into the glass containing the absinthe. Squeeze the lemon peel oil into the cocktail and toss it into the glass. Serve immediately.
