Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup flour
- 0.5 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 900 g of chicken wings
- Vegetable oil, for deep-frying
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup hot honey
- 1.5 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
Preparation:
- In a bowl, combine flour, 2 teaspoons salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Add the chicken wings and toss to coat.
- Heat 2 inches (5 cm) of vegetable oil in a saucepan until the oil reaches 350°F (175°C) on a deep-fry thermometer. Add the wings and fry in batches until golden brown, 8 to 12 minutes. Transfer with a slotted spoon to a wire rack set over a baking sheet to drain off excess oil.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter, hot honey, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Add the wings and toss to coat.
