topcook.tomathouse.com

Ingredients:

  • 3.5 cups grated cheddar
  • 3/4 cup grated Pepper Jack
  • 0.5 tbsp. grated parmesan
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 140 g softened butter
  • 4 whole green onions (white and light green parts), chopped
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 loaf of crusty French bread
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh parsley

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C.
  2. Mix the cheese with mayonnaise, 30g of softened butter, and green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste and set aside or refrigerate until ready to use.
  3. In a skillet over medium-low heat, melt the remaining 110g of butter and add the garlic. Cook for a few minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Cut a loaf of bread in half. Brush each half with garlic butter, spreading it evenly. Spread the cheese mixture on the bread and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
  5. As soon as you remove them from the oven, sprinkle the sandwiches with finely chopped parsley. Slice and serve.
