Ingredients:
- 2 large green plantains, sliced into 2cm thick rounds.
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- Salsa verde, for serving
Preparation:
- Preheat a 6-liter air fryer to 175°C.
- Toss the plantains with vegetable oil and 3/4 teaspoon coarse salt. Arrange them in an even layer in the air fryer and cook until tender, 3-4 minutes per side. Transfer the plantains to a large sheet of parchment paper and cover with another sheet of parchment paper; crush each piece with the bottom of a glass.
- Increase the air fryer temperature to 200°C. Place the plantains back in the air fryer in an even layer (it's okay if they overlap slightly) and continue frying until crispy, about 4 more minutes per side.
- Sprinkle with sea salt. Serve with salsa verde.
