Beef stew

Ingredients:

  • 700 g of beef for stewing, diced
  • Olive oil
  • 1 cup onion, diced into medium cubes
  • 2 cups chopped carrots
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 6 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cups chopped oxheart tomatoes
  • 0.5 tsp turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 700 ml beef broth

Preparation:

  1. In a large sauté pan, heat 4 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion, carrot, celery, garlic, cornstarch, tomatoes, turmeric, and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the beef and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
