Basic grilled burgers topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 350 g of ground beef shoulder
- 350 g of ground beef sirloin steak
- 2 tsp vegetable oil to grease the grill grates
- Hamburger buns, cheese, onion, tomato, lettuce, pickles and French fries for serving (optional)
Preparation:
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Gently combine the two types of ground meat in a large bowl, being careful not to overwork the meat. Form four patties, each 2 cm thick and 10 cm in diameter. Sprinkle evenly with 1.5 teaspoons of salt and 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Lightly oil the grill grate. Place the patties on the grill, being careful not to press them down with a spatula. Cook until browned on one side, about 3.5 minutes. Flip and cook the other side until browned, about 3 minutes for medium-rare.
- Assemble burgers using buns and any toppings of your choice and serve with fries.
