Watermelon salsa sauce topcook.tomathouse.com
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of watermelon pulp, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 seeded jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
- 1 cucumber, seeded and peeled, diced
- 1 mango, peeled and diced
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 8 basil leaves, finely chopped
- 1.5 tsp lime zest (from one lime)
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (from about 3 limes)
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- Freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- Wheat or corn chips, for serving
Preparation:
- In a bowl, combine lime zest, lime juice, sugar, and 3/4 teaspoon black pepper. Add watermelon pulp, cucumber, mango, jalapeño, onion, and basil and toss gently. Chill the salsa and serve.
Season the sauce with salt just before serving. Serve with chips.
