Slow Cooker Chocolate Fondue

Ingredients:

  • 450 g dark or milk chocolate granules
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cups of milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of coarse salt
  • 2 tbsp bourbon or orange, coffee or nut liqueur, optional
  • Fruit, marshmallows, or pound cake, for serving
  • Special equipment: 6 liter slow cooker.

Preparation:

  1. Heat a 6-quart slow cooker over high heat.
  2. Combine the chocolate, cream, milk, vanilla extract, and salt in a hot slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes, then stir and reduce to low heat. Add bourbon or liqueur, if using.
  3. Serve with fruit, marshmallows or pound cake.
