Ingredients:
- 6 oranges
- 3 packets of 7 grams of gelatin
- 0.5 cups of sugar
- 1 cup blood orange sparkling water
- 3/4 cup silver tequila
- 3/4 cup orange liqueur, such as Triple Sec
- Special equipmentwatermelon spoon
Preparation:
- Cut the oranges in half and carefully scoop out the pulp, membrane, and white pith with a spoon. Place the orange peels in muffin tins or press them tightly into a baking dish to keep them stable and prevent them from tipping.
- Pour 0.5 cups of cold water into a bowl, add the gelatin, and let sit for 2 minutes to soften. Add 3/4 cup of boiling water and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir in the sugar until completely dissolved. Cool the mixture to room temperature, then stir in the blood orange soda, tequila, and orange liqueur. Spoon the mixture over the orange peels. Refrigerate overnight.
- Carefully cut each orange half into 2 pieces and serve.
