Ingredients:
- 110 g unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh basil
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 1.5 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Freshly ground black pepper
Preparation:
- In a medium bowl, combine the butter, basil, shallot, and lemon juice with a rubber spatula; season with 1/4 teaspoon salt and a pinch of freshly ground black pepper. Serve the butter at room temperature, or transfer it to a piece of plastic wrap, waxed paper, or parchment and roll it up, twisting the ends to form a tight log. Can be stored in the refrigerator for 1 week or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
